Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)is an information processing psychotherapy that was developed to resolve symptoms resulting from disturbing and unresolved life experiences, and is rated in the highest category of effectiveness and research support in international guidelines for PTSD treatment.

This course is approved by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).  In accordance with the standards for basic EMDR training, participants must complete Part 1 and 2,  and receive ten hours of consultation from an recommended EMDRIA-approved consultant from the Parnell Institute for EMDR faculty, and then take Parnell Institutes's EMDR Basic Training: Part 3 in order to complete the requirements for EMDR basic training. 

Participants must be fully licensed in their state.   It is required that participants register for EMDR Basic Training Part 1, and Part 2 at the same time.
